Surfers Paradise

So I finally made it into my hotel room after arrival. The hotel is not too bad – only the service is ….. Once in my room of course I have managed to hide away from them   :):)

So I have a beach view AND a river view

All very nice to behold – as long as you do not have to mix with the yobbos that inhabit the streets in this part of the world. As the local rep said to me today – "they have taken the good out of Surfers".

Today after a long day (8.30 – 4.00), it was a great idea to go for a walk – along the boardwalk – even more boarded than usual with the Indy race on here next week. I wandered along the beach – crossed over and returned by the river. It has been a lovely day today – warm but not too hot.

Here are some photos I took on the way round…

The beach and the river – Isn’t the river view beautiful; prime real estate!

I don’t think they expect you to walk here – no footpath, but these fisherman made it   🙂

So tomorrow, it is another long day, followed by the train trip back to Brisbane for an early start in Monday… to try the Mexican restaurant that looked quite good.  :):)
